Kintsugi – 2019

The patterns of the 2019 collection are inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of Kintsugi. The skill of embracing the damage, of not being ashamed of the wounds, it’s the poetic lesson taught trough the precious Japanese Kintsugi art.
Instead of throwing it way, you can repair broken object with golden lacquer, transforming imperfection in beauty, creating something unique, which needs to be revealed and not hidden. Valuing diversity and loving our true ourselves is the philosophy that guides the collection, whose pattern are taking inspiration from the Japan’s natural and cultural wonders.
The intricate and seducing motifs in the patterns are taken from Nara’s herons, , from the shining cherry leaves of the Hida’s hills, from the precious kimono’s silks of Aomori, up to the uncontaminated Naoshima beach, and the ancient embroidery culture in Nikko.
All creations are unique in their realization and expression.
